film screening

The film screening at the West Newton Theatre was really great. I always enjoy watching student work and there was great diversity in the genres represented at the film festival. The other class mainly worked on narrative stories and mockumentaries. My favorite was the first film shown, which was mockumentary about a guy who can only walk backwards. It was really well done, really smart, had a great storyline and was really funny. I loved watching all the documentaries because my class focused on social issues documentaries and it was great to see how the documentaries I saw at their rough stages was able to progress from their beginning stages to the end.

The 'Stalker' film also had a really good storyline, albeit crazy ending. It was an unsuspected outcome, which is why I really enjoyed it. It was also nice to see some of the films on a big screen, however, it was a little sad that part of my film got cut off due on top due to the screen. Everything was different watching a movie on the big screen from the sound, the look and just being able to look around and see people's reactions to certain moments/scenes was great.
