2nd Annual Student Presentation
Today our media class attended a presentation of all the documentaries created by Bentley's own students. I have to say that I was pretty impressed. The plot lines of these movies were creative, funny, and some even dramatic. The first movie that we viewed was about a man who suffered from a disorder where he can only walk backwards. It was a humorous comedy and I enjoyed it alot. It also poked fun at tour guides at Bentley by saying that the man with the disorder can fill this role greatly. The second filming that we viewed was about surfing. I didn't really relate to it as that I don't know how to surf so I wasn't that interested. The third filming was about a stalker. At first I thought it was a comedy but then it slowly led to become something much more sinister. Brenda and I discussed after the filming how that particular segment reminded us of a Lifetime Movie. What I found the most heartfelt was the film titled, "Against All Odds". It was a movie about a Bentley student who survived homelessness. I felt that this film was moving because you wouldn't have thought that someone going to Bentley would ever had to experience anything that was life changing. This film opened up my eyes and made me realize that there is more to appearances. Overall, I liked the films that I saw today. Everyone did a good job and I can tell that they worked really hard on it.
